About the Job
This role plays a key part in shaping how our R&D organization operates -by driving structured planning, agile implementation, and cross-team delivery alignment in a dynamic, fast-evolving environment. The ideal candidate will take ownership of planning and monitoring R&D operations, improving internal workflows, supporting strategic decisions, and fostering cross-team collaboration in a dynamic, innovative environment. In this role you will report to the R&D Program Manager. You’ll play a central role in shaping how R&D at ASTERRA collaborates, plans, and delivers- supporting both innovation and execution at scale.
In this role, you’ll:
- Take part in the R&D annual roadmap development and lead its execution.
- Define, document, and continuously improve internal R&D workflows and cross-team processes to ensure efficient execution.
- Monitor team KPIs and departmental metrics, “status reporting, and proactively support data-driven decision-making.
- Facilitate and plan R&D scrums, sprint reviews, and team planning sessions.
- Support the company’s agile mindset and methodology implementation process.
- Act as internal Product Owner for R&D operational tools and platforms (e.g., workflow, task management, knowledge management).
- This is both a hands-on and influential role, requiring the ability to drive change across teams, mentor leads on agile delivery, and foster a more autonomous, goal-driven working model.
What you’ll need:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in project management or PMO roles, preferably in a tech or product-focused environment.
- Proven experience in leading and implementing procedural changes.
- Proven experience in working with software development teams
- Proficiency in project/task management tools (e.g., Jira, Microsoft Office Suite)
- Familiarity with software development lifecycles and working with R&D teams.
- High proficiency in English (spoken and written).
- Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, Business Administration, Geography, Geology, or a related field.
- Proven experience in planning and leading cross-team agile operations projects in a dynamic environment.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, flexibility, and a proactive “Can Do” attitude aligned with a startup mentality.
- Solid organizational skills, with attention to details and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Process-oriented mindset with creative problem-solving abilities.
