About the job
ASTERRA is seeking a talented GIS Analyst to join our Production team. In this role, you will work with advanced satellite-based geospatial data to produce unique analyses and contribute to various ongoing production projects. You’ll support the development and delivery of cutting-edge geospatial products that help solve real-world infrastructure challenges around the globe.
In this role, you’ll:
- Work with a wide variety of geospatial data types, including both raster and vector formats
- Support ongoing production workflows and collaborate on unique customer requests
- Assist with raw SAR data analysis, algorithm operations, georeferencing, and quality assurance
- Help maintain and improve internal processes related to data handling and analysis
What you’ll need:
- Proven experience in GIS, with hands-on use of ArcGIS 10.X and above
- Bachelor’s degree in Geography, Geology, Environmental Science, or a related field
- High proficiency in English (spoken and written)
- Familiarity with additional GIS tools such as ArcGIS Pro and QGIS – an advantage
- Technological aptitude and willingness to work with innovative remote sensing technologies
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Strong problem-solving abilities, particularly in dynamic, multitasking environments
