We are seeking a talented HR Generalist to join our HR team, focusing on assisting Executives with a variety of HR, bookkeeping, and operations tasks, while also supporting our employees at ASTERRA’s US office. This role reports to the HR Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Recruitment and Onboarding: Assist with recruitment efforts for the U.S. office and support the onboarding of new employees.
- Coordination with ADP: Facilitate hiring, onboarding, healthcare benefits, and updates to the employee manual.
- Employee Records Management: Maintain and update employee files, ensuring compliance with organizational and legal standards.
- Employee Engagement: Plan and execute engagement events, including happy hours and special office activities.
- Culture Management: Foster and maintain a respectful, positive organizational culture.
- Executive Travel Coordination: Arrange complex travel plans, including itineraries, agendas, and documentation for executive business trips.
- Bookkeeping Support: Manage payables and receivables, ensuring accurate bookkeeping practices.
- Expense Reporting: Prepare and submit expense reports to ensure timely reimbursements.
- Financial Monitoring: Update and maintain Profit & Loss (P&L) statements using internal tools to reflect financial performance accurately.
- Office Maintenance: Supervise office cleanliness and ensure regular maintenance of equipment and facilities.
- Procurement Management: Manage procurement and tracking of office supplies and equipment.
- Employee Support: Serve as the primary point of contact for employee inquiries related to office facilities and resources.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (preferably HR and/or Accounting).
- 1+ years of relevant experience in similar roles, including executive admin and bookkeeping responsibilities such as managing payables, receivables, and payroll.
- Proficiency in systems such as QuickBooks, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
