HR and Office Admin

ASTERRA is a successful earth observation start-up company specializing in SAR analytics. ASTERRA has developed unique cutting-edge technological solutions exploiting radar satellite imagery for different industries and infrastructures.

We are looking for an experienced and organized HR and Office Administrator to manage the daily operations of our office and provide support for our employees. The ideal candidate should have excellent communication and organizational skills, be able to multitask, prioritize and have a strong understanding of HR principles and practices.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain office operations, including tracking and purchasing of office supplies and equipment.
  • Greeting external visitors and assisting with room setup for meetings.
  • Manage the look and feel of the office and kitchen, making sure it is kept clean and orderly.
  • Serve as point of contact for the cleaning crew and supervise cleanliness and maintenance of office space.
  • Serve as point of contact for employees regarding various office related needs and questions.
  • Provide administrative HR support, including recruiting, managing employee records, coordinating new employee onboarding and offboarding, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Assist with planning and coordinating of happy hours and special company events.
  • Assist with HR projects, such as performance evaluations and training programs
  • Assist with payroll processing and benefits administration
  • Maintain and update employee files and records

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Behavioral Sciences, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • At least 1 year of previous experience in HR role.
  • Good command of English – A MUST
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Meticulous eye for detail, accuracy and precision
  • Quick thinker/learner with a “can do” mentality who will handle assignments, tasks, and projects with initiative and a positive attitude.
  • Ability to multitask and operate in a fast-paced environment of frequently changing priorities and manage the demands of a quickly growing workforce.
  • Strong understanding of HR principles and practices
  • Experience with payroll processing and benefits administration
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems
  • Ability to maintain discretion and strict confidentiality and remain professional while handling sensitive information
